The Midland 9001z is the classic silver face 40 Channel CB loaded with features. The new Guardian Alert feature can be used for many different including keeping one alert during driving or as an appointment reminder. The feature when set, emits a loud beeping noise. This controls the gain to the extent that full talk power is available several inches away from the microphone. The RF Gain Knob control is used primarily to optimize reception in strong signal areas. Delta Tune fine tunes the receiver to capture a more readable signal, as well as eliminate adjacent channel interference. Calibrate the meter for standing wave ration measurements with SWR feature.
